Merry Christmas...

Hope you are all having a wonderful day.

Right now I am probably sitting at mum's eating yummy food and getting carried away with my kids and their excitement.

Even though it is Christmas, Twisted sketches is still humming along and I have my card here to share with you...

This weeks twist is 'faith' and here is my take on the sketch...

Top of my Christmas shopping list...

is Children's panadol....nope, I am not kidding :).

You see every public holiday when doctor surgeries and chemists are locked up tight you can guarantee that my kids will come down with something!! Last year we had Noah in the ER at 3am on Christmas morning with a mild dose of croup and in the last two days I have had both of them at the doctors with high temps and sore throats. Just a viral infection!!! Can I get that printed on a t-shirt? I am glad my doctors bulk bill for kids otherwise that statement probably would have landed me in some serious trouble by now...lol.

So yes, I am a little nervous heading into the holiday...and went and stocked up on the wonderful strawberry/vanilla flavoured syrup tonight :).

I have finished off a few cards in the last few days...my family get annoyed when I hand them a store bought card because I have sent the rest out to friends so I thought I better get my act into gear this year.

It's a little grey...

I should be in the kitchen baking gingerbread for our annual 'Gingerbread decorating night,' but I forgot to get the butter out of the fridge to soften so I thought I would spend a little time in here and share a few pages I have gotten done this week while I wait.

Dam was in Melbourne for most of the week...last travel for the year...YAY!!!...and I had the nights to fill. I have run out of ink for my printer so the December Daily has come to a grinding halt but I had a few photos printed out so I sat down to work with them.

well, I really wanted to document this part of his life and how he takes it all in his stride and the White with 1 challenge was perfect for this...


As his mother, it hurts my heart to see that patch on him but like the title says...he takes it all in his stride. We got his portfolio from Pre-school this week and there was a story in it about kids asking him why he wore glasses and he told them that his eyes don't work like theirs so he needs glasses to help him see. He also stated that they made him look handsome!! Oh how I love this boy :)!!

Well, off to get the gingerbread started and sort out an argument between my two...we are having one of those days :(.

Been a bit crazy around here lately and I forgot to mention that Scrap with V had a cyber crop on Friday night...but don't' stress there is still plenty of time to have some fun and get your entries in!!!

I got the privilege of setting the sketch challenge and I came up with this...

Abi was more interested in wearing the decorations this year than putting them on the tree...how typical!!

Christmas Cheer...

Getting into the swing of it around here.

Yesterday my little man turned 5.....gasp...where oh where has that time gone!!! So that means we now kick the whole Christmas thing up a notch or two. I am still trying to finish decorating the house but since we are leaving on Christmas Eve to celebrate Christmas in Newcastle, I am really not in the mood to pull out all of the bits and pieces that turns my house into a Christmas wonderland. I am in the minimal mood this year.

Today is Twisted Sketches (for team A :)) day...

here is the sketch...and here is my take on it...


the twist this week is SHINE...so I added glossy accents to various parts of the engine and dug through my buttons to find some shiny ones.

busy, busy, busy...

I love Christmas but I am so not a fan of the weeks leading up to it....everything and everywhere is pure madness!!! Even a quick trip to the shops turns into a half day affair...I am going a little nutty atm...lol.

I few bits and pieces to share and then I am off to clean the bedroom fans and finish putting up the Christmas decorations. The kidlets are at pre-school today and I have to say that I am enjoying the peace and quiet!!!

Daddy and his girl when we were on holidays in October...I just love these photos I quickly snapped of them.


This photo is also from our holiday. It wasn't exactly swimming weather but what is a beach holiday without a dip in the ocean. Afterwards they would lay on the cement around the ocean bath to get warm again. Mummy was the only sensible one...lol.


Now don't laugh but I have one last thing to share...


I know, I know...statistics show that this will probably not get finished and I wasn't even going to attempt it this year but I sat down the other night and started putting it together and so far I am up to date. Posting this may jinx me...hehehe...but I am determined to complete it. I think it may also help that I love how I have put it together this year and look forward every couple of days to sit down and put the entries in. Plus I am also remembering to take photos each day...no matter how boring or crazy our day may be!!! Wish me luck!
